The Bridgestone Winter Dueler DM-Z2 is a winter tire specifically designed for light truck and SUV drivers who drive on slippery and rough winter roads.
The combination of a microporous rubber composition and the peripheral channels of the tread pattern effectively helps remove water from the contact patch for reliable grip of the tire on an icy surface. Thousands of zigzag lamella edges increase drainage properties and traction.
A new technological approach to tread pattern design has significantly improved handling on dry and wet surfaces and increased the wear resistance of rubber due to a balanced combination of tread design, shape, composition and construction.
Using more resilient carbon molecules strengthens and stabilizes the tire's rubber, increasing wear resistance and helping to reduce cracking and tearing.
The shape of the tire is more rounded, which improves stability on wet and dry surfaces, as well as increases rolling by reducing friction with the road surface. Increased roundness of the tire is achieved through a unique method of winding nylon thread.
The special rubber compound allows the tire to be effective on winter roads even after 55% tread wear.
